Anniversary Electress Palatine: free visits and meetings at the Medici Chapels

This year the 18 February will be celebrated the anniversary of the death of the Palatine - last descendent of the Grand Ducal Medici dynasty - which took place in Florence 18 February 1743.

For the occasion, the Medici Chapels Museum will remain open from 8.15 at 13.50 with free admission.

At 11 is pregrammata deposition floral homage at the tomb of the Palatine by the Municipal Authority that move from the Palazzo Vecchio 10,40 escorted by a representative of the procession of the Florentine Republic.

Also on Wednesday 18 febbraio il Polo Museale Fiorentino e il Comune di Firenze propongono un evento di rievocazione del personaggio storico in collaborazione con l’Associazione MUS.E. The public, In fact, at 15 (with replies to 16 and to 17) will have the opportunity to meet Anna Maria Luisa de 'Medici (Electress Palatine) in uno dei luoghi per lei più significativi, ovvero nella Sala Bianca di Palazzo Pitti.

The meeting with the character, followed by a discussion with the audience, will be an opportunity to better understand the features of the figure and to immerse themselves in the context of the Florence of the eighteenth century, launching a new and engaging dialogue with history.
