Opus Florentinum: Mario Luzi tribute to the centenary of his birth

The humanism of the poem ", in the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence will take place the evening "Tribute to Mario Luzi the centenary of the birth". The central moment, the representation of Opus Florentinum directed by Giancarlo Cauteruccio, sponsored by the Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore, Community of San Leolino, National Service for Cultural Project-CEI, Region of Tuscany, Fondazione Toscana Entertainment, Studio Theatre Krypton, Banca Federico del Vecchio in collaboration with Tuscany Today and sponsored by the City of Florence.

The meeting will be opened by the greeting of Cardinal Giuseppe Betori and from reading Joseph Langella, Director of the Research Center "Literature and Culture of the United Italy", on "Humanism Mario Luzi and the poetics of the Incarnation". The evening will be free admission (private entrance to the public from "Canonical Door") reservation.

In 1999 Mario Luzi paid tribute to his devoting to Florence Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, symbol of the city, text "flower our flourish again", of which Giancarlo Cauteruccio edited a staging. This partnership marked the beginning of a journey that has brought the poet and the director to work on the work. Cristina Borgogni in the role of Santa Maria del Fiore, Patricia Schiavo at the Santa Reparata and Massimo Grigò who will play the Canon with soprano Monica Welcome and all the other actors and musicians will enliven the scene, give life to the characters imagined by Luzi through continued dialogue with the sacred architecture, enriched by original music by Hidehiko Hinohara. In the unique setting of the cathedral of Florence, their voices will form through the acoustic reverberation of the Church, an oratorio form that summarizes the story in which immanence and spirituality intersect to create a unique singing.
