A thousand new jobs by 17 large companies operating on the Florence area in the next five years is the result of research conducted by the City and the Chamber of Commerce of Florence and Confindustria, presented at the Palazzo Vecchio in the Committee of large enterprises City subway, coordinated by Fabrizio Landi, economic adviser to the mayor Dario Nardella.

Among the most requested profiles: engineers (thermo-mechanical designers and analysts), specialists of the web (cloud specialist, cloud security, web marketing specialist) and logistics; but also site technical, management and product development. Particularly liked the use of internship in the company of students from the university, from secondary schools and schools of business start-up.

"The demands made by the companies show that the labor market is at a crucial stage and potentially positive - said the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Leonardo Bassilichi - for us to receive these signals and channel them into a training system that aligns more with the needs of business ". Bassilichi added that "the Chamber of Commerce of Florence is a candidate to develop these operational tools to reconcile the needs of business with the provision of training".

"The discovery that large companies need a thousand jobs 5 years - added the Vice Mayor of Florence Cristina Giachi - is the result of a deliberate choice: a coordination work that saw players, among others, the City of Florence, Chamber of Commerce and City Subway. The ministry had given the green light to the experimentation of this project of higher education, but when the decree on good school becomes law what is now a Best Practice in Florence will become a virtuous model to be applied throughout Italy ".
