The Municipal Police in the villages and neighborhoods

A mobile office of the Police Station at which they could be received complaints and reports from all already active Quarter 5, Monday 12 January kicked off also to the Quarter 4.

"On Wednesday in the Villages" started in November involving Quarter 5: how institutional contact established between the citizen and the city administration sees as through both the Municipal Police, that with the use of its resources guarantees the presence of personnel and means necessary, both the District 5 with its own door to the citizen.

In practice, the Municipal Police active, every Wednesday, a "listening point", in the Villages of Q5, consists of a mobile office and three staff units that become available to transpose any reports of citizens.

This presence is advertised in the Villages with posters dedicated. These messages are divided between those of direct competence of the Municipal Police, from which are treated, and the responsibility of various directions of the City of Florence that are transmitted to the Quarter 5.

"It is a real door to the city - said the President of the District 5 Christian Dance - to respond to a perception of the distance that was very heartfelt ".

The first Wednesday of the month (by 8 at 12) the camper of the Municipal Police is Quaracchi, in the way of sorghum; the second is in the square and Brozzi I Maggio; the third to the streets of Peretola and the fourth Wednesday in Castle at the parking lot of the Church of St. Pius X in Sodo. Daily the system is questioned and for each of the reports resolved, also in negative, is reporting that contacted the citizen is informed of the solution of the problem.

In the month of November were received with this methodology 86 signals and of these, Quarter 5 could provide 26 resolutions. "In December - added Balli - we recorded an average of 40 signaling for each garrison and then about twice the reports of the first month ".

"The citizens - said the Municipal Police Commander Marco Andrea Seniga - have turned to us to submit more topics, the control of the territory to the interventions on the road. We have reported noise problems and social security to the control of commercial activities. This service has been designed together with the Office and the Safe City security adviser and the legality of the Mayor, Dr.. Giuseppe Quattrocchi ".

From 12 January is the active service of the Municipal Police, in collaboration with the Council of the District 4, in some villages of the district. Also in this case, as Quarter 5, the service includes the stationing mobile office at locations identified and aims to collect reports, regarding urban safety and decorum, competence also of other Departments of the City or other institutions. All reports collected, excluding those that require immediate action, will be managed according to the procedure of vigilant at home and be the subject of a report sent by e mail to the district 4 which will be separately listed.

The areas identified for the stationing mobile office are:

1First Monday of every month from hours 8.00 at 12.00 - Via dell'Anconella, area ex gasometro.

2First Monday of every month from hours 8.00 at 12.00 - Via Chiusi, Parking lateral side ASL library (the 12 January starts from this location).

3First Monday of every month from hours 8.00 at 12.00 - P.za of Crezia.

4First Monday of every month from hours 8.00 at 12.00 - P.za dell'Isolotto.

"We are pleased with the activation of this service - said the President of the District 4 Mirko Dormentoni - which was strongly supported by Q4 as a result of the demands of citizens for a greater presence on the territory of the municipal police. One aspect that is also part of our program of mandate. It will be an experiment that we can improve in the months and thereafter will preside other places ".

"This is an opportunity not only for greater control of the territory - underscores the President Dormentoni - but also to collect reports of residents and merchants on the problems of their own ward. I want to highlight the good cooperation between the body of the municipal police and the district, which is increasingly becoming a one-stop close to the citizen ".
