Humanism and charity, Caritas conference Saturday 24

Convegno-Caritas-Calenzano"Jesus Christ the new humanism: the way of charity "is the theme of the conference diocesan Caritas, to be held Saturday 24 January to Calenzano, nel vicariato che in queste settimane accoglie la Visita pastorale del Cardinale Betori.

The venue will be the space events St.Art, Via Garibaldi 7.

“Il bisogno di un nuovo umanesimo - Pope Francis said in his speech to the General Assembly of the Italian Bishops, last May – is shouted by a society devoid of hope, shaken his confidence in many fundamental, impoverished by a crisis that, rather than economic, is cultural, moral and spiritual. Considering this scenario, community discernment is the soul of the path of preparation for the Ecclesial Convention of Florence in the next year: aid, please, not to stop on the floor - even noble - of ideas, but straddle glasses are able to grasp and understand the reality and, then, roads to govern, aiming to make it more just and fraternal community of men ".

Starting from these indications of the Pope, il Convegno diocesano Caritas sarà quindi un’occasione per riflettere sulla “via della carità” come strada maestra per la costruzione del nuovo umanesimo: a society and a culture in which the face of every man be given the dignity of a child of God.

The day starts at 9 with the welcome; at 9,30 the opening prayer led by the vicar of Sesto-Calenzano Don Giacomo Ubbiali. Andrea Bellandi, Vicar General of the diocese and member of the Preparatory Committee of the National Ecclesial Convention of Florence, economist Luigino Bruni, coordinator of the International Commission for the economy of communion, and conclusions of Cardinal Giuseppe Betori.
